As a catalyst for African growth, South African Airways endeavours to live up to this ideal through various initiatives. One such initiative is the design of the onboard amenity kit.

In 2015, we managed the search, design and implementation of the new amenity kit by assisting SAA source from South Africa’s budding product development talent. The winner Durban-born Mphelane Boitumelo Mareletse used cues from our brief to create a brand touch-point that was functional, economical and brought to life African premium as a new and mature interpretation of African luxury.

The amenity kit, stocked with handpicked products to enhance customers’ travel experience and keep them comfortable, is now available on all international and regional Economy and Business Class flights.
